Odissi is an Indian classical dance form from the eastern state of Odisha. It is one of the oldest surviving classical dance forms of India and is known for its graceful, lyrical and flowy movements. Our teacher for this two hour workshop will be Stuti Sahu, an Odissi dancer, choreographer, dramatist as well as the Founder Director of Tarijhum, Mumbai- a performing arts institute that has been offering Odissi training in the city of Mumbai and Navi Mumbai from the past 15 years. Over the years, Tarijhum has trained many dancers from a wide age group and background, and offered them a platform to showcase their talent at both local and International shows and festivals.

No experience necessary and no partner needed. Cost is two punches for Sway Dance members and $25 for nonmembers. Purchasing a Sway Punch card in advance will save you $5 for this event, and qualifies you for future discounts including other specialty workshops.
